MHS is coming home, and the Pep Rally was just the beginning. On Friday, September 23, the gym was crammed with every possible inch of blue and gold, and the energy throughout the hallway intensified with every passing minute leading up to the annual celebration.
It began with some tunes from WMHS as sophomores, juniors, and seniors made their way down to the where the action was. It ended with a cheer and a feeling of ultimate Chief pride.
The Chiefettes, the Cheerleaders, the marching band, and of course, our student government officers welcomed every Fall Varsity sports team and the Homecoming Court into the gym. This year, seniors Rob Marsalona and Kat McDonough take the crowns as Homecoming King and Queen – but the best was saved for last.
Senior Class President Mike Cantalupo, alongside G.O. President and Vice President, Pat McDermott and Tom Strong-Grinsell announced the Varsity Football team who play their first home game of the season against Baldwin tomorrow afternoon.
Come down to the Homecoming Parade at 12:30 tomorrow from Park Boulevard to the Main Campus – and of course, come cheer on the Chiefs on their turf. The 2011-2012 school year has officially begun.
