You may be interested in joining MHS Cantate if music interests you. The ensemble performs at many concerts and at school and community functions. This is a select choir, so you must audition.

Community Service
MHS students who are looking to have a positive impact on the community may want to check out the Best Buddies club. Best Buddies is part of a worldwide volunteer movement to help create friendships between students with and without developmental disabilities through charity work, community building activities, and character development.
Additionally, the Chiefs C.A.R.E. Club creates awareness about cancer and subsequently raises money to donate to the afflicted. The Chiefs’ Challenge Club has an important mission: to promote respect, kindness, and civility throughout the Massapequa community.
Gay Straight Alliance brings students closer together by providing a confidential and safe environment for students, regardless of their sexual orientation.
Any student who wants to improve the community may be interested in joining the Key Club. In this student-led organization, members are provided with opportunities to provide service to those who need it, while building character and developing leadership skills along the way.
