The Bagel Café in Southgate created a Text Your Order policy at the beginning of the school year which makes ordering easier and more organized for everyone involved.
The Text Your Order policy has proven to be a positive change for everyone. People are now able to text what they want to order from Bagel Café before they come in. The order is ready within fifteen minutes. The customers are happy because they don’t have to wait on line, and employees also benefit because the lines are much more organized, making it easier for them to keep track of everyone.
Bagel Cafe employees agree that the store’s client’s like the new ordering process. “I think they like it. We get a good percentage of orders texted in everyday and people are able to eat faster from what I can see,” employee Luis said.
Junior Megan Musachio finds the policy to be extremely convenient. “It’s much easier to get my lunch,” Megan said. “I text in my order toward the end of sixth period and it’s ready when I’m there at the beginning of seventh.”
Megan also gave a rundown of how easy the process is. “They give you a number on a business card. If you text what you want to that number, it will respond with the number of your order and the time it will take to be ready,” Megan explained.
Luis also spoke of the confusion common before the introduction of the Text Your Order policy. “Calling out people’s names got confusing,” he said. “It was hard putting a name with an order. We needed an easier and more organized way.”
“Every other restaurant should get this,” junior Alex Cosenza said. “It’s so easy.”
The Bagel Café is trying its best to put itself ahead of the competition. The Text Your Order policy is definitely a good start.
