Starting the new school year is always tricky after a summer filled with sun, sand, and slacking off. When September comes around, most dread it, but there is more to the school year than just homework and studying.

Incoming sophomores will be able to enjoy the open campus and how easy it is to use technology in the building at sites ranging from the cyber cafe, the library and the computer labs.  Also, new students at MHS can start their high school careers out right by getting involved in Massapequa spirit, befriending upperclassmen, and trying to set a good work schedule for themselves.  Having a cyclical work and study schedule will not only prohibit procrastination, but make it easier to get involved in the community by leaving more free time for all.

By starting off the school year stress free, there are more opportunities to make the most out of being a high school student.  If the workload is starting to get too overwhelming, grab a snack, do some yoga, sleep, or even make a playlist with all of your favorite songs.  Check out ours! Another way to diminish stress is to get involved in what Massapequa has to offer.

The football season is firing up, and the anticipated Farmingdale vs. Massapequa home game (October 8th) is rapidly approaching.  With the football season coming, the Massapequa Marching Band is practicing to debut their new field show of Batman vs. Superman at the September 10th game.  Homecoming is going to be a blast this year on October 15th when the Chiefs play against Baldwin.  School pride will be in the air as the Chief Nation will do everything they can to display the blue and gold Chief head.
