The girls lacrosse team made a major splash this sea­son storming to an 8-7 record, claiming the second seed in Nassau County. However, the Chiefs had one more obstacle to overcome before becom­ing county champions: a game against Farmingdale.

This is a familiar sto­ryline, considering these two teams have met at the county finals for the past seven years, and the Dalers have always come out on top.

The Chiefs played the Dalers on May 29, leading the majority of the first half before surrendering the lead in the second. The Dalers defeated the Chiefs by a score of 9-11 on their way to their eighth consecutive county champion­ship. Regardless, the girls put up a tremendous fight and still had an amazing season.
