Mrs. Habeeb, the MHS Girls’ Varsity Volleyball coach, has, once again, gathered up her team to honor all the teachers in the district with a celebratory volleyball match. It’s time for the volleyball team’s annual Teacher Appreciation game.
The match is taking place tomorrow, Wednesday, September 21, in the main campus gymnasium, against East Meadow High School at 6 P.M.
As always, the game is in commemoration of all the hard work and effort that all of the teachers in the Massapequa School District put into their work every day. Every player will pick just one teacher – choosing from Kindergarten through their current grade – playing in tribute of that teacher. In turn, all of the chosen teachers will be cheering on their athlete in the stands, signifying their hard work.
“Every teacher deserves recognition for all of the work that they have done for us,” said player and junior Katie Vedilago, “so it’s the least we can do to thank them.”
