Mockingjay Part 2 brings an end to the beloved Hunger Games saga.

Fans of all ages have anxiously awaited the final movie installment of The Hunger Games series, and on November 20, their wait came to an end as Mockingjay Part 2 burns through theaters.

Mockingjay Part 2 will wrap up the beloved story, originally written by Suzanne Collins, on the big screen. But no need to worry— the Girl on Fire certainly does not disappoint during her final battle against the Capitol.

The final film of the series revolves around the rebellion, lead by Katniss Everdeen, as members of the districts prepare to fight against President Snow and the Capitol. While not as organized as the actual Hunger Games, we do see the violence and fear throughout Panem creating a dramatic plot throughout the entire movie.

Picking up right where Mockingjay Part 1 left off, the film successfully shows Katniss and Peeta rekindling their relationship after he was brainwashed by the Capitol to believe Katniss was the enemy. Much of this success is due to the chemistry between Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson. After playing the lead roles for the whole series, Lawrence and Hutcherson have mastered the complexity of their characters as they go through unique and serious experiences. In Part 2, Lawrence is especially was able to balance the different personality traits of Katniss. She shows a confident and bold attitude when dealing with Snow and the rebellion, yet brings about a soft sensitive side when Peeta is involved.

As for the rest of the plot, the movie stayed true to the novel. Mainly focusing on the combat of the rebellion, Mockingjay Part 2 was filled with action and suspense. Katniss leads the rebellion as she is the symbol that units the districts against the Capitol; she is the Mockingjay. From explosions to Katniss’ well known archery skills, the rebellion was successfully portrayed as if it were another Hunger Games; violent and deadly. However, this time much more was at stake.

In true Hunger Games fashion, there were some tragic, emotional deaths of characters audiences love.

Overall, Mockingjay Part 2 was successful in ending the series that so many have grown to love. From the actors to the effects, the movie will leave Hunger Games fans satisfied and the quality of the movie will allow The Hunger Games to be remembered for years to come. The rebellion may have ended, but the Girl on Fire, the Mockingjay, will always hold a special place in Panem and in the hearts of fans everywhere.
