The Chief’s mission

The Chief, the online student newspaper of Massapequa High School, is an open forum to discuss the student body’s issues and concern. Opinions expressed are those of the writer and do not necessarily reflect the position of the editorial staff, school board, administration, sponsors, parents, student body or advertisers.

The Editorial Board, which consists of the Editor-in-Chief, Managing Editor, copy editors and editorial assistants will determine the content of The Chief Online.

Consistent with the first amendment of the United States Constitution, the staff also will refrain from printing material that may incite students, be a violation of the MHS Student Code of Conduct or disrupt school operations.

The adviser of The Chief will supervise production and offer advice and instruction to help the staff meet professional standards of online journalism.
